Fauquier Education Foundation Launches “Your $180: Fueling a Year of Educational Excellence” Campaign

Community Encouraged To Support the Newly Rebranded Education Foundation in its Inaugural Annual Campaign

The Fauquier Education Foundation (FEF) is excited to announce the launch of its new fundraising initiative, “Your $180: Fueling a Year of Educational Excellence.” This campaign invites the Fauquier community—individuals and businesses—to support local students and teachers by donating $180, or just $15 a month, highlighting the profound impact a “dollar a day for every school day” has on enriching learning experiences within Fauquier County Public Schools (FCPS).

The Foundation’s inaugural annual campaign aims to rally community support around the idea that small, consistent donations can create a powerful collective effect with substantial results. Every $180 supports FEF and its programs, including its preschool literacy program (My First Book Club) and annual educator professional development grants, as well as a host of initiatives it seeks to launch, such as field trip grants and other programs that enhance educational opportunities for FCPS students. The campaign goal is to raise at least $75,000.

“We believe that investing in education strengthens our entire Fauquier community,” said FCPS superintendent Dr. Major Warner, who was the first to donate. “This campaign makes it easy for everyone to contribute to the success of our schools. Just $1 a day during the school year can make a tangible difference in the lives of our students and provide crucial support for our dedicated educators.”

“Launching an annual campaign will allow us to continue supporting our current programs and initiate new ones,” added the Foundation’s executive director, Nancy Griffin-Bonnaire. “As a parent of four children who have gone through Fauquier County Public Schools, I understand that ongoing support of public education is critical to our children’s success.”
